Youth-Led efforts

 As an educator I believe that youth are doing the right thing by stepping up and advocating for change.  With the help of adults I believe youth can make significant change in our community. What resonates the most in these chapter is the youth capability to make change. As we read in previous articles youth are not trusted by many because they have bad reputation which causes disbelief in their ability to contribute to change in our society. Allowing youth to have more opportunities to participate in our community is a great way to stop the stereotypes and also allow them to explore. By protecting and advocating they're proving that the negative stereotypes are not true.

Care In Education

 Care in education is to show unconditional support to all students regardless of ethnic background, gender and sexual identify. When we talk about care in education many people think is just to be there physically and teach but care in education is more than just being physically present. Care in education is to constantly look/search for ways to make students feel accepted and wanted. Allow your students to make mistakes and be there as a support system rather than just to critique.  Reading Sonia Nieto's article allowed me to see Care as powerful tool in the classroom. Caring isn't simply to care. Care is demonstrated through  action.
